ROADS LESS TRAVELED
U.S. 501 into town is always congested. For North Myrtle Beach take 22
off 501 just East of Florence. 22 ends at Hwy 17 on the South end of
North Myrtle Beach. For points South of MB (Surfside Beach, Garden
City, Murrells Inlet or Pawleys Island) take 22 to 31. 31 runs parallel
to 17 Bypass; North on 31 goes to US 9 near Little River and South ends
at 544. Then, East on 544 takes you into Surfside Beach. No stoplights
on 31 makes it a real zip! We also suggest the Robert Grissom Parkway as
a road around town less traveled. It runs from the Airport past the
Pelicans Baseball Stadium and Broadway at the Beach.
