All the Fun Happens Labor Day Weekend Aug. 29 & 30, 2008 Two Days of Live Concerts, NEW 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Run, Free Live Entertainment, The Official Barbeque Competition of South Carolina, The International Federation of Com-petitive Eating BBQ Sandwich Eating Championship, Free Wheels at the Beach Car Show, Free Huge Kids Zone Rides and Games, Free Boat Rides on the Lake and the 2008 Sun Fun Ford Focus Car Giveaway.

Fri. Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. Free Concert with John Michael Montgomery
Sat. Aug. 30 Free Celebrity Meet & Greet with Austin Peck (Brad Snyder) "As The World Turns" and Murray Bartlett  (Cyrus Foley) "Guiding Light"

The Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival also will feature children’s activities in the HUGE AT&T The Real Yellow Pages Kids Zone and free boat rides in the lake. While you’re here, take in a live entertainment both Friday and Saturday by Still Cruzin’ Beach Band who will take the stage Aug. 29, and Clay Brown and the Legend Band, The Flashbacks and many more appear live Aug. 30 presented by Withers Preserve and the Market Common.  Blankets, lawn chairs, clapping, smiling and dancing are strongly encouraged!
All the fun is located on the former Air Force Base South of the Airport.

A Crabby Experience!
Myrtle Beach State Park
4401 South Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach 6/3 to 8/29  -  9:30am-11am
Every Week on Tuesday & Friday. Test your luck from the pier as we try to catch a variety of crabs and fish. Limited traps available for a $3 rental fee. Bring your own raw chicken for bait, or buy bait from the pier. Catch & release. Meet at Fishing Pier. Admissions: $4 adults; $2.50 SC seniors; $1.50/ child age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger.

Burrough and Chapin Art Museum 3100 S. Ocean Blvd. Hours: 10am -4pm Tues-Sat; 1-4pm Sunday. Current exhibition: Works by African -American Artists Collected by Jonathan Green and Richard Weedman. Jun 5 - Oct. 19.
